Maik Barz – ARIVA-Urgestein, Tech-Profi and Teamplayer with Heart

Since 1998, ARIVA has been all about financial data – and the people who create innovative digital solutions. One that has been decisively shaping ARIVA for over 15 years is Maik Barz, our lead developer and frontend specialist. His technical know-how, reliability and commitment have long since made him a firm size in the team. Today we would like to introduce Maik Barz in portrait.

Everything started “classical”: Maik originally wanted to “only” his Diploma thesis at ARIVA. But from one project a firm collaboration quickly developed – and from the student an indispensable part of the developer team became. In his typical North German, sympathetic way he says today:

Maik’s entry to ARIVA was over the range of derivatives – a range that focuses on precision, speed and smart data processing. Already at the beginning of his career he showed how powerful a motivated developer can be:internal team: Together with colleagues:inside he set up the website of a well-known stock exchange in record time. Day and night was programmed – and delivered on time.

Since then, a lot has happened: Maik led the software development department, was leading the development our SaaS tool prodo involved and responsible today as Lead Software Developer the front-end development. In this role, it is a link between technology, user-friendliness and design – with a special sense of how data applications can be intuitive and powerful at the same time. It’s time to show Maik Barz in portrait.

What makes Maik special is not only his technical strength, but also his attitude: He is a team player with a fine feeling for moods, interpersonal dynamics and the power of honest communication. Good results are created by competence, openness and fun at work – he lives every day.

Maik is optimist through and through, tackles challenges in a solution-oriented manner and always brings a positive basic attitude. This mixture makes it not only a sought-after contact person, but also a real “good mood factor” in the team.

Maik is also active outside the office: As a father of two daughters, he enters family life with heart blood and, with regular movement, ensures the necessary balance to the daily screen. Whether in sports or programming – Maik brings energy and enthusiasm. It is therefore important to consider Maik Barz in portrait.
