ARIVA erklärt Delta Push

Every millisecond counts in financial data transmission. The technical term Delta Push Financial data describes a method in which not the entire data base but only the changes (Deltas) are sent to the recipient. This makes the transmission more efficient, reduces traffic and ensures that users are supplied with current information faster.

An example: In the case of a share price API, the complete order book content does not have to be transferred every time a value changes. Instead, the system only sends the new or changed values – the Delta. Thus, updates arrive almost in real-time at the end user without moving unnecessarily large amounts of data.

Advantages of Delta Push:

  • Speed: Relevant changes reach the recipients in no time.
  • Efficiency: Less data volume means lower network load.
  • Scalability: Particularly valuable for platforms with many simultaneous users: inside.
