Sometimes the professional path leads<\/span> to a completely different direction than originally thought. That’s how it was with Jesse. After studying physics, he discovered IT for himself and came to ARIVA in early 2017. Almost ten years later, he not only met different teams and projects, but also experienced how software development has changed.<\/strong> Jesse’s Way to Software Development<\/strong>:<\/p>

A way with many stations<\/strong><\/h2>

When Jesse completed his studies in theoretical physics in 2015, a career in IT was not yet planned. However, after initial training in this area, his path led him to ARIVA in Kiel at the beginning of 2017.<\/p>

His first station was the then Regulatorik team. Later he worked on a large stock exchange project andprodo, our solution for dynamic financial advertisin<\/span>g<\/a><\/strong>. Today, Jesse is part of the Web Services team and deals with analytics and development tasks related toSmartbroker<\/span>+<\/a>.<\/p>

What he likes about his work is the change. New projects bring new technical challenges. And sometimes from a supposedly ordinary ticket becomes a little further education.<\/p>

Technology is changing. We’re developing.<\/strong><\/h2>

In recent years, daily development has changed significantly. Especially artificial intelligence opens up new possibilities and increasingly influences how developers work.<\/p>

For Jesse, it is therefore part of everyday work to deal with new technologies and issues. That’s content from Jesse’s way to software development.<\/p>

This openness is also important for our work at ARIVA. Reliable financial data and powerful digital applications are behind people who develop, question and continuously improve solutions.<\/p>

Good cooperation makes the difference<\/strong><\/h2>

At least as important as the technology is the team for Jesse. Different strengths are added, questions can be easily resolved and personal exchange is not too short.<\/p>

The mix of home office and common days in the office works especially well for him. Many good solutions are also created in the development of software.<\/p>

Golf, badminton and a bit of gardening<\/strong><\/h2>

And after dinner? Then you can find Jesse on the golf course. With a handicap of 13.3, he also participates in team competitions. He also plays Badminton. Only for gardening he can’t get so excited so far.<\/p>

For his future<\/span> at ARIVA, Jesse has two quite specific wishes:more table tennis and pizza for the team.<\/strong>🏓🍕<\/p>

Sounds like a good plan!<\/p>
